Children & young people
We welcome families to the UK Spring Conference. We expect parents to take responsibility for the supervision of their children throughout the conference unless they are in the crèche sessions. We ask young people under the age of 18 who register to attend without a parent to give the name of an adult who is willing to take responsibility for them while they are at the conference.
It may be possible to arrange a crèche for younger children during some of the Bible readings, but we cannot guarantee this at present. However, rooms and equipment will be made available for parents to use at all times, but they must stay with their children. We will provide more information in due course.
There is likely to be a young people's meetings on the last evening of the conference.
Location
The conference will be held at:
Yarnfield Park Training & Conference Centre
Yarnfield Lane
Yarnfield
Staffordshire
ST15 0NL
For more information, see our travel directions page, and complete the online form in the By Rail section if you would like to be picked up and/or dropped off at Stone train station.
Costs
We do not charge for the conference but a contribution of £72 per night per person is suggested.
- £45 per night for 4 to 11-year-olds
- FREE for 3 and under
We are conscious that this represents a significant expense, and we do not want anyone to feel they cannot come because they cannot afford it. We ask all residential and day visitors to consider what they can give towards the cost of the conference bearing in mind there are brethren who are less able to pay.
The conference is arranged by the gatherings at Martlesham and Brighton, but gifts should be made online to Chapter Two (link opens new window) but designated for the conference fund, as Chapter Two has kindly agreed to underwrite the conference. Gifts can also be made by credit card or in cash at the conference but advance payments are a great help with cash-flow.
UK taxpayers can make their gifts under the Gift Aid scheme.
